Roger Jones
I was born in Surrey, 50kms South of London, spent my teenage years in education. I travelled overland through Asia, Africa & the Americas after working for 7 years. In 1980 I emigrated to Australia and retired in 2009 moving to the Northern Rivers from Brisbane.
At college I created student union signage and a little art but on retiring I always wanted to draw and paint. I paint using water colours, acrylics and oils. My technical construction draftsmanship helps with drawing building and perspective. I love trees and plants being the son of a gardener. The tutors, member’s encouragement and club environment are excellent for developing skills for all painting mediums.
