About us

Lismore Art Club Inc. was established in 1960 and maintains a healthy, enthusiastic membership. It is accredited with the longest running annual art exhibition in the region.  On the 3rd Saturday of each month the club holds a workshop with an invited artist sharing their skills. Outdoor plein air days are another feature of the calendar.  See tutorial pages for more details.

and we are proud to showcase our latest visual Art.

Open 7 days a week Monday to Friday 10 to 4. Weekends 10 to 3pm

We are pleased to announce that the Northern Rivers Financial Advice Award has been judged and the winners are:  Janet Hassall’s  ‘Welcome to an Island’ &                        Margaret Brown’s  ‘Emily Gap’

Congratulations to our winners & special thanks to our sponsor Nick Rose of Northern Rivers Financial Advice for his generous ongoing support over many years; and also to Marissa Brooks for her judging of the exhibition & appreciation of members’ work. Her comment: “they are all brilliant” making for “a very difficult decision.”

But wait there’s more! Visitors to the exhibition have a chance to vote for their favourite artwork as there is also a Peoples Choice Award. The artist with the most votes for a painting will win the prize sponsored by Sheila Turner Picture Framing. Our thanks for Sheila’s support & generosity. This will be drawn at the end of the exhibition which closes 3pm Sunday 17TH October.

The club holds a large variety of books, DVDs and magazines which are available on loan to members. To borrow from the Library contact Meg who will arrange a convenient time and location for collection, usually on tutorial day.
