Lismore Art Club held its 53rd annual exhibition from 1st to 4th August.
150 entries by 23 members were displayed beautifully in the spacious auditorium of the Lismore Workers Club.
This years judge was Suzi Muddiman, director of Tweed Regional Gallery.
The exhibition was officially opened by Janelle Saffin, Federal Member for Page who also presented the awards with some help from exhibition co-ordinator Roger Jones and president Meg Nielsen.
150 guests enjoyed a musical treat presented by sixteen year old Emily Pirlo with a professional musical performance on the grand piano, guitar and vocals.
Guests also enjoyed wine and nibbles as they viewed the artwork. It proved to be a lovely relaxed evening enjoyed by all.
Over the course of the 4 day exhibition many paintings were sold as well as cards made by our artists.
Local craft including woodwork, jewellery, cake decorating and handmade dolls were also on display and sale adding an extra dimention to the event.
