Angela’s artwork reflects her life. and her passion for animals, wildlife, both African and Australian native animals, and birds feature strongly in her work, as do all things in nature.
SUBJECT MATTER: Wildlife – birds and other animals.
Learn how to achieve all those tricky bits – eyes, feathers and fur, creating interesting compositions which also depict the structural accuracy and character of the creature you are painting.
We may not get to complete an artwork, but we will definitely learn how to do so.
I will provide the reference material. If you wish to bring your own images of animals and birds feel free to do so, HOWEVER they must not be subject to copyright.
I work in PASTELS – Pan Pastels, Sticks and Pencils and will be demonstrating in these. Obviously, I will teach towards this medium, however if this is not your preferred medium then bring what you normally use and I’m sure you will still get some benefit from the class.
Most Friday mornings 10am to 12 noon.( not on the Friday before tutorials or Quarterly Meetings.)
Bring your materials e.g. paint, brushes
The Club will supply blank cards for you to paint on…some people prefer to bring their own watercolor paper to use. The idea is we create greeting cards ( good to practice our painting skills) to promote and make a bit of money for the Club, as they are sold at our annual Exhibition and at Sheila Turner’s Framing shop, The Strand Arcade. Molesworth St Lismore. This is a free event. Have fun, chat, and paint. All Members welcome at Kay’s home.
